Bibione <\/strong>\u2013 La Bibione Sand Storm continua nel nome di Massimo Zamparo<\/strong>. Gli organizzatori del moto club BB1 e della societ\u00e0 Sandstorm hanno deciso, di comune accordo, d\u2019intitolare l\u2019evento alla persona che l\u2019ha ideato e portato avanti nelle prime due edizioni.<\/p>\n

Zamparo \u00e8 stato legato\u00a0fino all\u2019ultimo alla Sand Storm, partecipando in prima linea a tutte le fasi della macchina organizzativa, anche se visibilmente segnato dalla malattia. A fine maggio, nonostante l\u2019aggravarsi delle condizioni di salute, aveva espresso la precisa volont\u00e0 di non rimandare la conferenza di presentazione dell\u2019edizione 2026 della gara. Poche ore dopo, sarebbe arrivata la notizia della sua scomparsa.<\/p>\n

Tutta la Sand Storm sar\u00e0 dedicata a Zamparo, ma gli organizzatori hanno deciso anche di riservare uno speciale trofeo alla sua memoria. Il premio sar\u00e0 consegnato al pilota iscritto alla gara proveniente da pi\u00f9 lontano.<\/p>\n

\u201cPer tutti noi del moto club e di Sandstorm – racconta la moglie Zineb Hathout<\/strong> – Massimo era \u2018il capitano\u2019. Anche se non possiamo pi\u00f9 vederlo, \u00e8 stato una presenza cos\u00ec forte che riusciamo in qualche maniera a immaginare come si comporterebbe nelle varie situazioni. Ed \u00e8 giusto che il suo nome rimanga per sempre legato all\u2019evento a cui forse teneva di pi\u00f9 in assoluto.<\/p>\n

\u201cMassimo ha convissuto con la perdita di due fratelli, era uno che aveva capito il senso della vita \u2013 continua Hathout -. Ammirava non solo i campioni, ma anche e soprattutto chi faceva cose fuori dal normale pur di raggiungere un obiettivo. Lui era un pilota, sapeva molto bene cosa vuol dire fare sacrifici per correre una gara e si affezionava sinceramente quando sentiva storie di passione e di forza fuori dal comune. L\u2019anno scorso, per esempio, si era commosso quando incontr\u00f2 il concorrente che era venuto dall\u2019Uruguay solo per correre la Sandstorm. Per certi versi, anche il modo in cui ha affrontato la malattia rispecchia questo suo modo di concepire le cose. In un premio di questo tipo io rivedo perfettamente lui e il suo carattere\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bibione<\/strong>\u00a0– Bibione Sand Storm will continue in the name of\u00a0Massimo Zamparo<\/strong>. The organizers, BB1 Moto Club and Sandstorm, have jointly decided to dedicate the event to the man who conceived it and guided it through its first two editions.<\/p>\n

Zamparo remained deeply involved with the Sand Storm until the very end, playing a leading role in every stage of the event’s organization despite the visible effects of his illness. At the end of May, even as his health rapidly deteriorated, he firmly expressed his wish that the official presentation of the 2026 edition should go ahead as planned. Just a few hours later, news of his passing arrived.<\/p>\n

The entire 2026 Bibione Sand Storm will be dedicated to Zamparo. In addition, the organizers have established a special memorial trophy in his honor. The award will be presented to the rider travelling the greatest distance to compete in the event.<\/p>\n

“For all of us at BB1 Moto Club and Sandstorm,” said his wife,\u00a0Zineb Hathout<\/strong>, “Massimo was ‘the captain.’ Even though we can no longer see him, his presence was so strong that we can still imagine how he would react in every situation. It is only right that his name remains forever linked to the event that probably meant more to him than anything else.<\/p>\n

“Massimo lived through the loss of two brothers and he was someone who truly understood the meaning of life”\u00a0Hathout<\/strong>\u00a0continued. “He admired not only champions, but above all those who were willing to do extraordinary things to achieve their goals. He was a rider himself, so he knew exactly what it meant to make sacrifices just to line up for a race, and he genuinely connected with stories of exceptional passion and determination. Last year, for example, he was deeply moved when he met the competitor who had travelled all the way from Uruguay simply to race at the Sand Storm. In many ways, even the way he faced his illness reflected this outlook on life. This award perfectly represents who he was and the values that defined his character.”<\/p>\n
